Ford Motor Company has unveiled their most powerful street-legal car – Ford Mustang Shelby GT500. The supercar got unwrap on 14th January 2019 at Detroit Auto Show. The supercar is expected to launch at a starting price of $70,000.
It uses a supercharged 5.2-litre V8 engine that helps to achieve 0-60 in 3 seconds. The power is sent to the rear wheels through a TREMEC 7-speed dual-clutch transmission system. It offers three modes – full automatic, semi-automatic with paddle shit and full manual with paddle shift.
The Shelby GT500 belts out 700+ hp, which make it the quickest and the most powerful car offered by Ford Motors. Here, just to give you an idea about the power of GT500, the engine used in this supercar develops equivalent power to NASCAR’s. Isn’t amazing?
Great power needs great brakes. Ford Performance has bolted every possible to give maximum control to the driver. For example, the Shelby GT500 comes fitted with Michelin tires and Brembo brakes.
Inside, there is a 12-inch full digital instrument cluster with top-notch Bang & Olufsen speakers. Everything comes wrapped in carbon fibre and leather.
The 2020 GT500 will be available in three colours: Red Hot, Twister Orange, and Iconic Silver. You also will get an option to pick the stripe colour.
