While it might have seemed like an impossible goal initially, the Michigan-based company is expected to deliver 10,000 electric vans in operation in 2022.

Workhorse, a Cincinnati-based electric vehicle startup, offers C-Series all-electric trucks. The special designed electric truck is used for last-mile delivery management.

The C-Series truck comes powered by a modular battery system, which offers a cargo capacity of 1,000 cubic feet with a range of roughly 100 miles and a top speed of 75 miles per hour. Out of all the companies making electric trucks, Workhorse may be relatively new but is slowly and steadily making a name for itself. The electric truck comes in two battery sets – 4 & 6 modules. In 4 modules, you get 70 kWh and 100 miles range. Another side, the 6 module battery has 105 kWh with a 150-mile range. The manufacturer has a different market segment and cannot compete with Tesla and other big players.

The good news is Workhorse has done a partnership with Pride Group to provide electric trucks.

9. Infraprime Trucks

The Infraprime truck company was started in 2017 by a trio of Sid, Subodh and Chetan. The formation of the electric heavy-duty commercial good carrier was motivated by the need to minimize the cost of infrastructure development by producing an electric fleet. Their all-electric truck was designed, developed, and manufactured entirely in the country, and four essential computer systems manage the vehicle: battery charging system, battery management, transmission, and control.

Daimler-Benz, also known as Daimler Truck, is the world’s largest truck manufacturer in the world. The company was ordinally founded in 1926.

E-trio uses Tata Ace body kist to convert into an electric pick-p truck for sellers, logistics and end-customer/driver. The converted e-LCV can tow a payload ranging from 75 kg to 750 kg and delivers a certified driving range of 120 kilometres. It uses a 20 kWh lithium-ion battery and runs on a 96 V system.
