Who is Jeff Bezos?
One of the richest men on Earth, Jeff Bezos, is a computer engineer, investor, and entrepreneur. He is best known for being the executive chairman and founder of the eCommerce giant Amazon, where he was previously CEO and served as its president. He also founded Blue Origin in 2000, a sub-orbital spaceflight service and aerospace manufacturing company. As of November 2021, Jeff Bezos has a net worth of $200 billion, and that certainly explains how the man has a fleet of such expensive cars to his name.
Now that you know a little more about Jeff Bezos, let’s talk about his impressive car collection.
Since Jeff Bezos’ car Honda Accord in 2013, the billionaire moved onto more expensive and exclusive cars – supercars fit for the richest of the planet. Let’s take a look at his stunning collection –
Ferrari Pininfarina Sergio
Of course, no billionaire’s list of “fast cars” would be complete without a Ferrari in it. The $3 million Ferrari Pininfarina Sergio is actually the cheapest in the car collection of Jeff Bezos following the Honda Accord, and that is saying something!
The Sergio was named as a tribute to the passing of Sergio Pininfarina, the son of supercar maker Battista Pininfarina. The Sergio is Ferrari’s fastest offering after the F1 model, and it debuted in the market as a concept car in 2013. Only 6 of these Sergio Ferraris were produced, which obviously lends to the massive value of the car.
Produced in a workshop in Maranello, the Sergio models were only sold to a select few individuals around the globe, making them super exclusive and lucrative. Ferrari even gave the customization power to these 6 individuals – be it the car colour, finishing, or material, it was all customized!
Coming to aspects like steering wheel, centre console, dashboard, and other interior components of the supercar, the Sergio has been loosely based on the Ferrari 458 Spyder. However, the cockpit was revoked to include black leather upholstery with red stitching. The mechanical aspects like track and wheelbase remain unchanged. The Sergio’s body frame is a little stiffer than that of the Ferrari 458 Spyder and is 100kgs lighter than its predecessor!
Bugatti Veyron Mansory
The next one on Bezos car collection is a very nifty one from Bugatti. Bugatti is known for making some of the fastest cars globally, and the Bugatti Veyron Mansory, dubbed as Besoz’s favourite car, is one of the fastest Veyron made by the company. Jeff’s Veyron is another customized model made for the Amazon owner car collection and was probably the most expensive customization made by Bugatti on a Veyron at $3.5 million. It houses the same engine that we find in the other Veyrons, arguably the most powerful engine globally, a quad-turbo-charged, 8.0L W16 one. This gives the car its massive power of 1000 bhp and 407 km/hr top speed.
But what makes Bezos’ customized Bugatti Veyron unique? It’s specialized re-working. It has been given a new body kit and interior panels that are etched with historical events like Targa Florio, the legendary racing event in Sicily. Mansory also includes a subtle V shape on the bonnet to add to its exclusive feel. Bezos can definitely rock this black and white customized beast every day to work, a car with such speed that even a plane would be proud of!
Lykan HyperSport by W Motors was the first Arab supercar and looks like something that Batman would drive! With its distinctive Batmobile-like angular design and massive right-angled brake lights on the rear end, it is extremely eye-catching, and I totally understand why this $4 million baby is a part of Jeff Bezos’ car collection.
The headlights alone are made with 15-carat diamonds, which would explain its hefty price tag – a price that the likes of Jeff Bezos wouldn’t need to worry about! For this kind of money, you will get not only the jewels, but you will get an exhilarating performance out of it too. A rear-mounted 3.7L engine powers the back wheels producing 780 bhp and going from 0-60miles/hour in 2.8 seconds. One of these models is also owned by the UAE government and has been converted to a police car – a car that you wouldn’t want to be getting into a chase with!
Only 7 of these supercars were ever produced, and one of them belongs to Jeff Bezos’ all cars collection. You might even remember it being featured in the movie “Furious 7” – flying from one skyscraper to another like it’s no big deal!
The Lykan HyperSport is so rare, fitted with so many jewels, and one of the highest performing cars in the world that it is definitely a jewel in the Jeff Bezos cars list.
Koenigsegg CCXR Trevita
The second most expensive on Jeff Bezos’ sports cars fleet is the Koenigsegg CCXR Trevita which roughly translates to “three whites,” a reference to the unique materials that were used to make the car.
The limited-edition Trevita that Jeff Bezos owns is estimated at an astounding $4.7 million, which is justified because of its diamond coated carbon fibre finish. This unique finish gives the supercar its unique sparkling silver-white appearance. When the sunlight hits the Trevita, the car’s entire body sparkles as if millions of tiny white diamonds are infused in its body frame! Yes, you read that right – diamond-coated!
One of the rarest supercars globally, the Trevita is not just about looks – it has the performance to match its exorbitant price tag. With a 4.8L V8 engine which has a 1018 bhp power, firing it from 0-62 miles/hour in just 2.9 seconds. With all this beauty and exclusivity, Bezos definitely deserves to own the Koenigsegg CCXR Trevita.
Lamborghini Veneno Roadster
Now comes Jeff Bezos’ most expensive car – the Lamborghini Veneno Roadster. Lamborghini Veneno meaning “poisoned” in Spanish, was designed to celebrate Lamborghini’s 50th birthday, and it looks like they had quite the party! And why not? The Veneno moves crazy fast and can reach 60miles an hour from a standstill in under 3 seconds, thanks to its 6.5L V12 engine with a power of 740 bhp.
The Veneno was launched as Lamborghini’s racing prototype built for the road. Lamborghini designed the front end of the car for improved downforce and maximum airflow. The re-designed front and rear arches reduce the excessive lift, giving a smooth and seamless performance. The large carbon-fibre rear connected to the car is three-way adjustable, and the wheels of the car have a turbine-like design and maintain airflow to cool the Veneno’s ceramic carbon braking system.
Only 9 of these super exclusive cars were made, and while their original price is somewhere around $5 million, a recent reselling price of the Lamborghini Veneno Roadster surfaced at a staggering $11 million.
Jeff Bezos’ car collection is certainly drool-worthy – with the most exclusive and stunning cars that money can buy, it is a collection car fanatics would kill to possess. And it’s totally justified too – when you are the richest man in the world, what else will you splurge your hard-earned money on!
